A vacation is great, but yoga retreats are even better. While they require some dedication,  retreats simply offer more value than traveling on your own. Not only do you get healthy in peaceful and energetic surroundings of Rishikesh in a few days but also get ready for life challenges. Our yoga and Ayurveda retreat includes vegetarian (ayurvedic) based diet, organic meals, meditation and yoga classes, Ayurveda detox and treatments in the form of panchakarma.

We have weekly, ten days and 21 days retreat on yoga and Ayurveda.

Inner balance: Stress release retreat with Ayurveda and Yoga

Today’s modern world holds many pressures. Constant sensory overload means that we never truly “switch off.” Our nervous systems are constantly in “fight or flight” mode and never get to restore in a “rest and digest” state.

Stress can affect how you feel, think, behave and how your body works. In fact, stress can create a variety of symptoms including anxiety, fatigue, eating disorders, depression, headaches, difficulty concentrating and increased anger and relationship troubles.

According to Ayurveda, our inability to deal with stress is due to an imbalance, or lack of coordination of the 3 main mental functions: Dhi (learning), Dhriti (retention) and Smriti (long-term memory), and a lack of Ojas energy in the body.

The Inner balance Program is suitable for anyone needing to restore their body-mind-spirit after an acute, and/ or chronic, period of stress or ill health.

People dealing with the following issues: insomnia, lack of concentration, anxiety, bad temper, obsessive eating and drinking or lack of appetite, low energy level, poor digestion, constipation, sexual disorders, chain smoking or heavy drinking. This program is also recommended for anyone who wants to experience peace of mind.

  •  Pizchil: A 15 minute head massage and deep tissue oil pouring massage to strengthen hormonal secretions.

  •  Sirodhara: A head massage followed by the continuous pouring of warm herbal oil/milk/buttermilk on the forehead for 45 minutes to cool the nervous system.

  •  Sirovasthi: Warm herbal oils are put on the head and kept for 45 minutes to cool the cerebral and nervous systems.

  • Talam: Special powder mixed with medicated herbal oil is applied on the head.

  •  A steam bath is given after most of these treatments.

  •  Ayurvedic diet is given to counteract the stress releasing chemicals.
